Live streamed cultural show made with and for adults with learning difficulties
The Friday Show, in partnership with long term partners Camphill MK Communites and funded by The Care Tech Foundation, is a pilot project to create a new live streamed cultural show made with and for learning disabled adults.
Â
In terms of accessibility for those who face challenge, in reducing isolation and in ways of offering relationships with each other/co-creation/sharing we feel that there is a tremendous opportunity to create a quality, professional 'magazine style' programme of cultural events, news, guests and featuring local talent.
This will take the form of a monthly filmed and edited show which can be live streamed or downloaded and watched on demand through a subscription service. We will use this research and development phase, and consultation with our partners and the market to set and market test a subscription price, which will be affordable and accessible.
We will feature guests and cohosts/roving reporters with learning disabilities and encourage audiences to contribute their films to future shows. The Show will offer a safe way to access lively, quality entertainment and will eliminate any geographic limitations for those who wish to join and benefit from the programme.
