Would you like to volunteer for Inter-Action MK?

We have arranged an evening on Tuesday 14th April 6pm-8pm here at Inter-Action MK where all are invited in for a glass of wine or cup of tea and an ideas session! We will be inviting our trustees and all staff so you will hopefully get to meet as many of us as possible.

One thing we are considering is pioneering a team of fabulous fundraising volunteers! Basically, this would give you the opportunity to organise your own small events to raise money for Inter-Action MK. Our funds are really tight and in order for us to continue our great work, we need more hands on deck! An event could be something as simple as a book club, coffee morning, swap shop, sewing group…you name it! They could be hosted at various locations around the city and not just at Inter-Action MK. There would be celebration events and prizes for the volunteers that raise the most money through their event which could make it a fun challenge!

We would love to hear your ideas and if you would like to be involved in this project!

Other Current Volunteer Opportunities:

  • We currently only have the Infinity programme available on a day to day basis for workshop volunteering, but this would require some experience of working with adults with disabilities.
  • LOL young people’s workshops will be up and running again in April Half Term if you are interested in helping out with those we have a Miniature Garden workshop on Wednesday 1st April 1.30-3.30pm, Film Thursday 2nd and 9th April 1.30-3.30pm and Stage Combat Friday 10th April 1.30pm-3.30pm all base here at The Old Rectory.
  • The Groovy Gecko Club night also needs some love and attention – we would love to train someone to come in for half a day a week or every other week to work with the club crew, helping them with scripts, assigning roles, getting them more involved with the planning and development of the club and also helping to manage the club each month.
  • Help us clear and tidy up the grounds – We want to create a welcoming space that looks tidy and tranquil. Many of you are extremely creative too, so there is no reason why we can’t get a few arty projects going, making some interesting and decorative features and planters around the space!

If you are a new volunteer then please fill out our Volunteer Registration Form and bring it to the evening!

Please let me know of your particular project interest and whether you are able to make the volunteer evening:
