Fishermead FUN

Following the success of Glow in the Park Parade 2009, Inter-Action MK has continued to bring  fun and community celebrations to residents of Fishermead and Oldbrook.

Over the last couple of months we have been running creative workshops with local groups and we also organised a series of small local events. These included flag making, kite flying and a display of paintings on the walls of the underbridge.

On Saturday the 3 July 2010 we spent the day creating a path of hands across the bridge from Fishermead to Xscape. Thanks to all the people that helped us do this. Click here to see the photographs from this event.

Local residents have also worked with song writer Tom Billington to create a song - Fishermead ( an estate of mind).

We are now working towards making Glow in the Park happen for 2010. If you would like to help with this contact Leigh West on 01908 67514.

This work has been supported by MK Council Regeneration team and On the Verge.

Fishermead Regeneration wants you to get involved! If you are interested in becoming part of a group that will help improve life on Fishermead please contact Lee Mooney (Senior Regeneration Coordinator) 07900135909 or Campbell Park Parish Council 01908 608559 to find out more information.

On the Verge is a Public Art initiative with Place Identity as the central theme. On the Verge aims to work with residents and artists to use Public Art to develop pride and identity in the four estates surrounding central Milton Keynes.
