Community arts charity Inter-Action MK has been bringing arts to life in Milton Keynes for almost 40 years. We use the arts to improve the life chances of people with support needs or disabilities or in challenging or vulnerable circumstances. Our innovative programme of inclusive arts successfully brings people of all backgrounds together in shared creative activity. Our programme helps participants to develop creative, personal and social skills. Our current activities include the now legendary Groovy Gecko club, a night club run by and for learning disabled adults based at The Slug & Lettuce in Milton Keynes. We also curate a continuous programme of inclusive exhibitions of art by local, regional and nationally known artists as well as having a permanent display of sculptures within our grounds. We also offer a varied programme of creative workshops for young people with disabilities called “Laugh Out Loud”, a raft of other creative workshops for adults and children and a range of short creative courses for people of all ages.
